Following his DUI, Leessang's Gil will be leaving the cast of 'Infinity Challenge'.
Reps from the MBC�show stated on April 23, "We plan to edit the future broadcasts featuring Gil in a careful way that will not make viewers uncomfortable. In particular, we decided we will not be airing a segment of a special that was recently filmed."�
The network also apologized for the news in a time when citizens are still mourning over the Sewol tragedy and confirmed that Gil will not be appearing in future broadcasts until further notice. MBC stated, "Gil has also told us of his intention to leave 'Infinity Challenge' in order to have a period of self-reflection. The producers have accepted his request and have decided to film with 6 members for now."
Gil previously commented through Leessang Company, "I have no excuse and I'm deeply reflecting... I sincerely apologize for causing trouble and disappointing fans and those who have given me love all this time because of my inappropriate actions. I will make sure that this does not happen again. I once again bow my head and sincerely apologize." His license has been revoked after being caught drinking and driving.
