On the March 4 broadcast of MBC’s 'Radio Star,' Jo Hyun Ah shared a touching story of friendship behind her glamorous connections with top celebrities.
The episode, titled 'Final Boss of This Area! Let’s Go~,' also featured guests Oh Seung Hwan, Lee Cheol Min, and Yang Sang Guk. Known for her extensive network in the entertainment industry, Jo Hyun Ah boasts close friendships with stars such as Suzy, Nana, P.O., and Lee Sung Kyung Addressing public misconceptions about her connections, she said, “Many people think Jo Hyun Ah befriends famous celebrities by buying gifts and attending to them.” Her candid remark drew laughter from the audience.
Jo Hyun Ah clarified, “Everyone assumes that, but actually, they were fans of mine first.” She highlighted her especially close bond with Suzy, saying, “Suzy truly has a kind heart. If she can’t reach me, she comes to my house to check if I’m okay, even down to making sure I’m breathing.”
Recalling a deeply personal moment, Jo Hyun Ah shared, “One day, my mother collapsed, and we discovered her illness.” She later endured the pain of losing her mother. During this difficult time, Suzy stayed by her side for three consecutive days at the funeral. Despite all attendees recognizing the celebrity, Suzy remained steadfastly present and even accompanied Jo Hyun Ah to the burial.
Expressing heartfelt gratitude, Jo Hyun Ah said, “Thanks to Suzy’s sincere comfort, I was able to heal from the pain of losing my mother. I wanted to share this on the show. Suzy is my guardian angel.”
