G.NA returned to South Korea for the first time in 10 years after leaving the entertainment industry amid controversy.
On March 4, G.NA shared several photos on her Instagram Story. Along with a selfie, she wrote the short caption, “I suck at selfies.” In the photo, she smiles brightly at the camera with her long hair down. In another image taken at a café, she appears cheerful while making a V sign with her hand. She also added the message, “Surprise?”
G.NA debuted in 2010 and gained significant popularity with songs such as “Black & White” and “Top Girl.” She received strong support from fans and became a well known figure in the K pop scene.
However, in 2016, she was fined for violating the Act on the Punishment of Arrangement of Commercial Sex Acts, which led to a major controversy. After the incident, she stopped her activities in the Korean entertainment industry and reportedly moved to Canada.
Last year, G.NA spoke about the experience through a post on Instagram. She wrote that she had kept the story buried in her heart for a long time and said that working in the Korean entertainment industry had deeply changed her life. She explained that the most painful part was not the incident itself but the silence that followed. She also said that her disappearance was not meant to hide the truth but was a decision she made to survive.
Her recent social media update has drawn attention from fans, marking a rare public appearance since she stepped away from the Korean entertainment industry nearly a decade ago.
