R&D Company is expanding its business with the agency of Big Bang’s Daesung.
On March 5, Choi Seung Yong, CEO of R&D Company, stated, “We have partnered with music IP firm Dreamus Company and have secured a strategic investment.”
Through this collaboration, they aim to build a full-value chain for music IP. R&D Company’s management expertise, combined with Dreamus Company’s music distribution, is expected to create strong synergy.
Founded in 2021, R&D Company specializes in artist production and management. Its roster includes Daesung, Lisa, Kisum, and Nam Yu Jeong. Notably, R&D Company operates a dedicated label for Daesung called D-LABEL. This label focuses on global projects across music, performances, and merchandise.
The company also partners with other firms to provide artist support services, benefiting numerous artists such as Baekho, Kyung Seo, Libelante, and LNGSHOT.
R&D Company emphasized, “Our vision is for artists to continue creating music and connecting with fans even into their 50s and 60s. We are focused on long-term growth.”
Dreamus Company added, “This is not just a simple equity investment, but the start of a collaborative model that allows artists’ IP to grow continuously.” They continued, “Through cooperation with the most trusted partners, we aim to increase the value of music IP and create opportunities for shared growth.”
