BLACKPINK took the top spot on the Circle weekly album chart.
On March 5, Circle Album Chart (formerly Gaon chart) released the rankings for this week’s update, and BLACKPINK’s long-awaited group project ‘DEADLINE,’ which was released on February 27, debuted straight at No. 1 on the chart with 1,750,692 copies sold.
This marks BLACKPINK’s sixth No. 1 album on the chart, following their hits ‘Square Up,’ ‘How You Like That,’ ‘The Album,’ ‘Born Pink,’ and ‘The Girls OST.’
Following ‘DEADLINE’ on the weekly chart are IVE’s ‘REVIVE+’ at No. 2 and No. 5, NCT JNJM’s ‘BOTH SIDES’ at No. 3, and Park Ji Hyun’s ‘MASTER VOICE’ at No. 4.
On the Hanteo chart, ‘DEADLINE’ surpassed 1.7 million copies sold in its first week. This feat makes it not only BLACKPINK’s highest first-week seller, but also the best-selling album in first-week history among all female K-pop artists, breaking the previous record held by aespa’s ‘MY WORLD.’
Congratulations to BLACKPINK!
