[Spoiler Alert: Episode Summary]
This article contains plot points and episode summaries from ‘Siren's Kiss’ Episodes 1–2.
'Siren's Kiss' has exploded in popularity, captivating viewers with its gripping storyline.
According to data released by Nielsen Korea, episode two of the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'Siren's Kiss,' which aired on March 3, recorded peak viewership ratings of 5.6 percent nationwide and 5.3 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area. The series ranked first in its time slot across both cable and general programming channels nationwide and in the metropolitan area, based on paid platforms that combine cable, IPTV, and satellite services.
In the latest episode, Cha Woo Seok (played by Wi Ha Joon) visited the bereaved family of Kim Yoon Ji (played by Lee Elijah), who had died after leaving a phone message saying she would report an insurance murder. There, he encountered Han Seol Ah (portrayed by Park Min Young), a prime suspect in the case. While looking through Kim Yoon Ji’s room, Cha Woo Seok discovered Yoon Seung Jae’s business card. He grew suspicious as he noticed Han Seol Ah carefully examining Kim Yoon Ji’s scheduler among the documents.
However, Han Seol Ah expressed irritation at Cha Woo Seok’s probing questions about her relationship with Kim Yoon Ji in front of the family. When Cha Woo Seok said he wanted to uncover the truth behind Kim Yoon Ji’s unjust death, Han Seol Ah cryptically replied, “We don’t know who the real victim is,” before leaving, deepening the mystery.
Despite this, Cha Woo Seok could not shake his suspicions. Testimony from acquaintances that Kim Yoon Ji had met Yoon Seung Jae the day before his death, along with Han Seol Ah’s subtle reaction while identifying her fiancé’s body in footage from the fatal accident, added to the growing doubts surrounding her.
It was later revealed that Han Seol Ah’s former boyfriends had all taken out substantial life insurance policies naming her as the beneficiary, just like Yoon Seung Jae, only to die shortly after canceling them. With Han Seol Ah as the sole link between the three men and Kim Yoon Ji’s death, suspicion intensified.
Confronting her, Cha Woo Seok declared, “If you love a woman named Han Seol Ah, you die,” laying out his theory. Even as he spoke as though he knew everything, Han Seol Ah remained unshaken. She looked at him steadily and asked, “So how does that woman look to you right now?”
Drawing closer, she added with a seductive smile, “Then tell me, who’s next? The next man who will fall in love with Han Seol Ah.” As Cha Woo Seok found himself at a loss for words under her gaze, viewers are left wondering whether she is truly a cold-blooded killer, as he suspects, or a tragic woman who has lost love.
Earlier, a scene showing Han Seol Ah hiding and shredding Kim Yoon Ji’s scheduler further fueled curiosity about her true identity.

At the heart of 'Siren's Kiss' is Park Min Young’s portrayal of the enigmatic Han Seol Ah, a mysterious woman shrouded in secrecy. The character’s layered emotions and haunting gaze make the actor’s performance especially crucial. Her chemistry with Wi Ha Joon, who plays the persistent Cha Woo Seok, determined to uncover the truth, adds another compelling element for viewers.
Park Min Young has drawn audiences in with her natural embodiment of the role. At a press conference held last month, she described playing Han Seol Ah as a significant challenge. “I think the results on screen reflect both my efforts and the support of many people, so this will be a very meaningful project for me,” she said.
She elaborated on her character’s emotional state: “She doesn’t eat. So many tragic things happen around her that when she goes home, there’s nothing but water and alcohol. She always appears professional outside, but when she’s alone, she is painfully lonely.”
Park Min Young even revealed that she immersed herself so deeply in the role that she lived like Han Seol Ah off-screen. “I ended up keeping only water and alcohol at home,” she said. “During filming, I drank about three liters of water a day. Strangely, I just kept drinking it. After filming ended, I completely stopped.” She added, “I truly spent that time in a dark place.”
Whether Park Min Young’s dedication will continue to pay off remains to be seen. With its tense narrative already captivating audiences in its first week, all eyes are on 'Siren's Kiss' to see if it can maintain its impressive ratings through to the end.
