2NE1's Sandara Park denied recent drug allegations made against her.
A close associate of Sandara Park told The Fact on March 3, “The drug allegations raised by Park Bom are completely unfounded.”
Earlier on the same day, Park Bom posted a handwritten letter on her social media, claiming, “I need to speak about a delicate and frightening matter. Sandara Park was caught using drugs, and to cover it up, she made me appear as a drug user.”
She further added, “Adderall is not a drug. I am a patient with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). At the time, Adderall was unavailable in our country, and the law regarding it didn’t exist. Do not report to authorities that I used more than the prescribed amount of drugs that YG, Yang Hyun Suk, Teddy, and CL hadn’t used for almost 30 years.” In response, Sandara Park’s representatives released a brief statement: “These claims are baseless, and Sandara Park is concerned about Park Bom’s current health.”
Park Bom had previously faced scrutiny in October 2010 for importing Adderall, a regulated substance in South Korea, from the United States without customs declaration. While Adderall contains amphetamine, classified as a controlled psychotropic drug, Park Bom was granted a deferred indictment after presenting years of medical records and prescriptions proving she imported it for legitimate treatment purposes.
Separately, Park Bom raised concerns in 2025 regarding alleged settlement issues with YG Entertainment, posting messages that alarmed fans. At the time, she submitted a lawsuit naming YG Entertainment’s executive producer Yang Hyun Suk as the defendant, along with an astronomical financial claim, sparking controversy. Her agency, D-NATION, later clarified, “Park Bom’s 2NE1 activity settlements have already been completed, and no lawsuit has been officially filed.”
