Girl group Rania completed a very successful overseas concert in Thailand. On the 15th, the girls arrived at the Bangkok Airport to start prepping for their promotions there. At the airport, around 200-300 fans showed up to show their support. This was their first visit to the country and they have never released an album or a song in Thailand so the hot response from the fans wasn't really expected. On the 16th, the girls held a showcase with around 500 fans and 100 press people at the Bangkok Novotel Hotel. National networks channel 5 and 7 came to report on the showcase, which gave evidence to the success and scale of the event. The fans sang along in Korean and danced the choreography as well. The members took public transportation via the subway to get to a restaurant, and around 100 fans followed them onto the subway. Their company DNR Music said, "I think the attention towards Rania went up thanks to sites such as YouTube and Twitter. Also, because member Joy is Thai, the local fans were really interested. Since Joy hasn't been to Thailand for awhile, she saw her parents this time. We were going to wrap up promotions in four days but because of interviews and additional things, we added three days. We've also received four CF endorsement offers from a Thai makeup brand and more." [gallery] Rania also took part for "Music Bank in Japan" on the 13th at Tokyo Dome. They received a lot of praise from music companies such as Victor, SONY, and Universal; they all seemed to be looking to scout the group. They're scheduled to hold showcases in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Cambodia, the Philippines, and Indonesia starting in August. Their company commented, "They will come back to Korea soon to prepare their second single album. On the 24th, they're returning to work with a world renown producer." Source: Sports Chosun via Nate
