The recent broadcast of 1N2D has triggered netizens into a rage due to a smoking scene that wasn't edited out. The 1N2D crew was drenched from the pouring rain after playing some basketball. While they were washing up before heading off to sleep, a short scene of Eun Ji Won smoking caught the eyes of the eagle-eyed netizens. Although the scene of him smoking was only a part of the background, nitpicky netizens are pouring out their rage through the 1N2D's online thread. Many netizens believe that although 1N2D holds a reputation for being a 'real' variety program, the smoking scene should have been edited out by the staff. Some of the netizens expressed:

"I understand that the staff and crew go through a lot to film this. However, shouldn't the staff be more considerate on editing out certain parts?" "I think the crew needs to be more cautious while filming"

KBS has acted quickly and offered their apology through their website today,

"With regards to the controversial smoking scene in yesterday's broadcast of 1N2D, we would like to apologize for that. We understand that a lot of viewers have been affected by that scene due to our crews' negligence and as a public broadcaster, we should be cautious with our actions. We are sorry once again and we will be careful to not let this happen again in future. We will continue to produce programs that will put a smile on your faces and is suitable for the entire family to watch. We once again offer our sincere apologies."

In addition, the early morning replay of the show has been canceled and the controversial scene will be removed for future broadcasts on KBS and KBS World.
