Gyubin, the rising singer-songwriter, has just released MV teaser for her title track "Like You 100," sparking excitement among fans ahead of her debut mini album "Flowering."
The new MV showcases her creative vision and sets the stage for a promising musical journey.
Regarding the song, which she co-wrote, Gyubin explained, "It’s a song that answers a confession of 'I like you too.' The melody is lively and bubbly, but I focused on conveying sincere, honest feelings about love within it."
She emphasized that the track's vibrant sound and upbeat rhythm are designed to capture both the fun and the genuine emotion behind a love confession.
Gyubin further revealed an innovative twist in the lyrics. "There was an idea to change the word 'Back' in the lyric 'Like You Back' to the numeral '100.' I thought it was a truly fresh and ingenious idea that no one had ever considered, and since 100 is a complete number with various interpretations, we decided to denote both the song title and the final lyric by replacing 'Back' with '100.'"
She hopes that this creative choice will also help international fans understand that "One Hundred" translates to "백" in Korean.
"Flowering," Gyubin's first mini album, is set for release at noon on the 26th(KST) across various online music platforms and offline outlets.
