Actor and singer Hwang Min Hyun has unveiled a new pictorial following his military discharge.
Hwang Min Hyun appeared as the first cover star after completing his service for the April issue of 'Singles', also gracing the magazine’s Japan cover. The pictorial, featuring spring themed flowers, commemorates his 15th anniversary since debut.
In the photos, Hwang Min Hyun showcases both his refreshing visuals and a more mature, charismatic side, capturing attention with his versatile charm.
During the accompanying interview, he shared updates about his recent activities and expressed excitement about the upcoming 'Wanna One Go', a reality show featuring Wanna One, set to be released in April.
“Whenever I meet the members, it feels like we go right back to the old days,” he said. “Surprisingly, we haven’t changed.” His remarks reflected his feelings about the group’s reunion after seven years.
Hwang Min Hyun also talked about filming 'Study Group' Season 2. He revealed that the production team praised him for looking almost identical to his appearance in the first season despite returning after military service.
Following his discharge, he lost about 6 kilograms through weight training and running, while continuing to take acting and singing lessons.
Looking ahead, Hwang Min Hyun shared that he hopes to challenge himself with new roles, even mentioning the possibility of portraying a psychopathic killer in a Netflix original series to break away from his typically upright image.
His recently released digital single also carries a heartfelt message for fans. Reflecting on the time apart, he said, “It may have felt like a long time, but even when we couldn’t be together, we were always connected.”
Meanwhile, Hwang Min Hyun’s full pictorial and interview can be found in the April issue of 'Singles' and on the magazine’s official website.
