YG Entertainment is strengthening its efforts to discover the next generation of talent who will lead the future of the global K pop market under the direction of executive producer Yang Hyun Suk.
On the 5th, YG Entertainment posted ‘2026 YG SPECIAL AUDITION : GO! DEBUT’ on its official blog. Following the official poster announcing the event, the agency also released a video highlighting the debut journeys of TREASURE and BABYMONSTER, further raising anticipation among potential applicants.
The video shows the members being selected as YG trainees and gradually transforming into fully developed artists through systematic training and numerous evaluations. Toward the end, the artists are seen performing on concert stages amid enthusiastic cheers from fans, drawing attention.
Over the years, YG Entertainment has produced numerous artists who have gone beyond Korea to perform on global stages, leading the worldwide K pop wave. Recently, the company has further strengthened its training system and significantly shortened the debut preparation period as it accelerates the launch of next generation groups.
YG stated, “As indicated by the title ‘SPECIAL AUDITION,’ this audition carries a major difference. Unlike before, executive producer Yang Hyun Suk will personally take part from the very first screening stage with a strong determination to discover the next major rookie group that will follow in the footsteps of BIGBANG and BLACKPINK.”
Meanwhile, applications for ‘2026 YG SPECIAL AUDITION : GO! DEBUT’ are open until February 28 through the YG audition website or the QR code on the official poster. Anyone born between 2007 and 2015 can apply regardless of gender or nationality. Applicants are required to submit a video under one minute showcasing their potential in one selected category among singing, rap, dance, visual, or talent.
