A new fan sighting rumor suggesting that NewJeans member Minji may have been spotted in London has been circulating online, drawing attention from fans worldwide.
On the social media platform Threads, a user identified only as A shared a post claiming to have seen two Korean women in London, one of whom reportedly resembled Minji. The user wrote, “This morning, I saw two Korean women. One was wearing a black beanie and a black leather padded jacket, and her facial features looked very much like Minji. Her eyes and mouth were quite recognizable, but since she was standing a little distance away, I didn’t dare approach her to be sure.”
The poster added, “I have never accidentally met a celebrity before, so if it really was Minji, I was very lucky. I just remembered another detail. The person next to her was being called ‘Kim,’ like ‘Kim Minji.’” The shared photo shows two women using their phones, but due to motion blur, the image does not provide conclusive identification, and there has been no official confirmation of the sighting.
Last month, a similar fan report emerged from Australia suggesting that fellow NewJeans member Hanni was seen there. In that account, the observer said Hanni “looked very well,” but noted that a full return to activities may still take time.
In October 2025, ADOR prevailed in a legal case affirming the validity of exclusive contracts for all five NewJeans members. Following the judgment, Haerin and Hyein reportedly expressed their intentions to return, and Hanni has confirmed her comeback. Minji is reportedly still in discussions over whether to rejoin activities, and Danielle has left the group after receiving notice of contract termination.
Meanwhile, Min Hee Jin, who has been referred to as the “NewJeans mom,” won two separate lawsuits against HYBE on February 12. The Seoul Central District Court ruled in her favor in a stock transaction payment claim against the company, determining that HYBE must pay approximately 25.5 billion KRW (about 17.4 million USD). HYBE’s counterclaim seeking to terminate a shareholder agreement was dismissed by the court.
