Actress Han Ga In showcased her dazzling beauty with an extravagant “Wanghong makeup” look.
On March 12, Han Ga In uploaded a video titled, “What If Han Ga In, the Most interesting Face, got Shanghai Wanghong Makeup?” to her personal YouTube channel, Hangainisfree. The video shows her traveling to Shanghai with the production team from her channel.
Wanghong makeup is a glamorous, dramatic makeup that has become popular among Chinese influencers. Stylized with intricate hairpieces and heavy makeup, it has recently become a trend among travelers as well. Recently, Han Ga In decided to try the style herself after fans had requested she do a makeup look with bold colors and intense eye makeup.
The makeup artist, who remembered Han Ga In from her drama 'Witch Yoo Hee,' worked to create a head-to-toe spectacular look. Han Ga In herself was amazed, saying, “This is the pinnacle of glamour. It can’t get any more extravagant than this. I think I can graduate from this kind of style now.”
After completing an overwhelmingly elaborate headpiece, she commented, “I can say for certain this is the most extravagant headpiece I’ve ever worn.” The production staff and local Chinese crew watching her couldn’t stop exclaiming, “So beautiful!”

Even without makeup, Han Ga In’s natural beauty is striking, and with the full makeup and elaborate headpiece, she looked like a living work of art. She fully embraced the Wanghong style, striking various poses against the backdrop of Shanghai’s Yuyuan Garden at the request of a local photographer.
However, removing the glamorous accessories proved challenging. Han Ga In warned, “Taking off the headpiece is no joke. It’s so heavy that people with turtle necks or neck discs shouldn’t try it.” Once freed from the weight, she sighed in relief, saying, “I feel so light. I feel alive.”
Even after removing her makeup, she noted, “It feels so refreshing. It took three times longer to remove this makeup than usual. Normally, I’d use two cotton pads with eye remover, but I used fifteen this time.”
