Yoo Jae Suk has opened up about a frightening on-set accident that sent him to the emergency room while filming SBS’s long-running variety show 'Running Man'.
On Jan. 1, the YouTube channel 'DdeunDdeun' released a video titled “New Year’s bows are just an excuse,” featuring actors Ahn Eun Jin, Lee Sang Yi, and Kim Sung Cheol as guests. During the conversation, Lee Sang Yi reflected on a facial injury he suffered while filming the drama 'No Gain No Love', explaining that the accident occurred during a scene that was not particularly dangerous. He added that the scar has since become part of his life and has changed his mindset, recalling the fear he felt at the time and the stitches he received.

Listening to the story, Yoo Jae Suk shared that he had experienced a similar accident in the past. He recalled that during a Running Man shoot, he became overly excited while dancing to a BTS song during a game and accidentally fell off a game apparatus.
“I didn’t need to go that far, but since it’s my job, I got carried away and ended up falling,” Yoo said. “I was unlucky—while I was falling, my knee hit my glasses, and I cut the area above my eyebrow. There was a lot of bleeding.”
Yoo explained that he was taken to the emergency room, where doctors warned that stitches could leave a noticeable, long-lasting scar. As a result, he returned to Seoul to receive further treatment at a plastic surgery clinic.
The candid story offered a glimpse into the unexpected risks that can arise even during lighthearted variety show recordings, highlighting the physical toll entertainers sometimes endure behind the scenes.
