Jisung of NCT DREAM is set to take on a new challenge by stepping into acting.
On January 14 KST, a representative from SM Entertainment confirmed to Sports Today that Jisung will appear in Season 2 of the ENA drama 'Crash'.
Crash follows the story of the Traffic Crime Investigation (TCI) team as they relentlessly pursue villains on the road. The first season premiered in May 2024 and ranked as the third-highest-rated drama in ENA’s history. Season 2 will feature returning cast members Lee Min Ki, Kwak Sun Young, and Heo Sung Tae, alongside Jisung.
In the drama, Jisung plays Ji Dae Se, the youngest new recruit on the TCI team. His character is tall, good-looking, and nicknamed the “idol of the traffic division.” Trained in taekwondo and hapkido, he excels in physical action scenes, though he carries emotional wounds beneath his confident exterior.
Jisung debuted as a member of NCT DREAM in 2016. Prior to his idol debut, he gained experience as a child actor, appearing in the drama 'Deep Rooted Tree' and the film 'Unbowed'. However, 'Crash' marks his first acting project since debuting as an idol, making this role a significant milestone in his career.
