Park Na Rae takes legal action while mother's payment complicates case

Park Na Rae has launched a full-scale counterattack against former managers who accused her of workplace abuse and embezzlement. While she has filed a suit for blackmail, the situation has become increasingly complex following revelations that her mother unilaterally attempted to wire money to the accusers.

On December 6 KST, a representative for Park Na Rae announced, "We submitted a complaint against former managers A and B to the Seoul Yongsan Police Station on charges of blackmail." Park Na Rae's side contends that the former managers have been demanding excessive sums based on false claims. Her agency, NPK, stated, "Even after receiving their severance pay, they demanded an additional amount equivalent to 10% of the previous year's revenue."

This legal move serves as a direct response to the allegations made by the former managers, who previously accused Park Na Rae of power abuse, including forced drinking and throwing glasses. On December 5 KST, the conflict escalated when they filed a complaint with the Seoul Gangnam Police Station accusing her of embezzlement.

The managers claim that Park Na Rae, the actual owner of NPK, falsely registered her former boyfriend as an employee and paid him approximately $31,200 in salary between January and November of this year. Park Na Rae's side vehemently denied these charges, calling them "groundless." Conversely, they argued, "We confirmed circumstances where the former managers established a private corporation and siphoned off some funds under the guise of agency expenses," adding that they are preparing their own embezzlement lawsuit against the managers.

Amidst this intensifying legal battle, a controversial incident involving Park Na Rae's mother came to light. It was confirmed that her mother, who is listed as the CEO of NPK, deposited approximately $7,100 into each of the two managers' accounts—totaling about $14,200—without any prior agreement.

The managers' side revealed to media outlets, "On the night of the 4th, over 10 million KRW was deposited to each of us. It was sent by Park Na Rae's mother without any prior consultation." They emphasized, "We returned it immediately, and our lawyer sent a text message warning against such actions." The deposit was made just seven hours after reports surfaced that the managers had applied for a provisional seizure of Park Na Rae's real estate.

Park Na Rae's agency acknowledged the transfer, explaining that it was an emotional decision made by her mother. An official stated, "From a mother's perspective, seeing Park Na Rae suffer, she seems to have done it with a mother's heart." The agency clarified that they were unaware of the transaction until notified by the opposing lawyer. Although intended to resolve the situation, the fact that her mother is the CEO of the company could potentially work against them in future legal proceedings.

Following this incident, settlement negotiations officially broke down. The managers' side noted, "We received a settlement agreement on the 5th, but it contained content we could not accept." Consequently, Park Na Rae's side declared, "In a situation where unnecessary misunderstandings and pressure continue due to claims different from the truth, we decided we could no longer be swayed by unilateral demands," confirming their intent to proceed with litigation.

Meanwhile, regarding separate allegations of illegal medical practices, Lee Se Joong, a lawyer from Law Firm Gwangjang representing Park Na Rae, dismissed the claims. He clarified, "Park Na Rae simply requested house calls from doctors and nurses at the hospital she usually attends because her busy schedule made visits difficult. This is a legal medical service widely used by general patients."

With both parties sharply divided over charges of blackmail, embezzlement, and abuse, the truth behind this mud-slinging dispute is expected to be determined in court.
