JYP Entertainment (hereafter JYP) shared the outcomes of its healthy and sustainable giving initiatives carried out this year through its annual social contribution wrap-up event, 'EDM DAY'.

JYP has been actively engaged in various forms of social contribution since 2002, beginning with year-end charity concerts held with its artists in pediatric wards. In 2019, the company systemized its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) efforts under the catchphrase EDM (Every Dream Matters! : Every dream in the world matters), aiming to give back the love it has received from the public and support children’s dreams through diverse projects.

On December 15 at 2 PM KST, JYP uploaded a video titled 2025 JYP EDM DAY to its official social media channels, introducing the year’s activities and detailed outcomes of its EDM initiatives. The event, which looks back on JYP’s annual social contribution efforts, was hosted by JYP founder J.Y. Park, JUN. K, and ITZY’s Yuna, alongside children who benefited from the EDM programs.

J.Y. Park, JUN. K, and Yuna first highlighted the core EDM initiative, the EDM Medical Expense Support Program. Through this program, JYP provides medical cost assistance to children with serious illnesses and their families facing financial hardship, helping to save precious lives. This year, the program focused particularly on children with severe conditions requiring high medical expenses, supporting the recovery of a total of 803 children both domestically and internationally.

In collaboration with international NGO World Vision, the program expanded beyond Asia to include Central and South America this year, supporting children in nine countries: Mexico, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Brazil, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, and the Philippines. During the event, JYP introduced recovery stories of children currently undergoing treatment, including Arkana (age 5) from Indonesia with a ventricular septal defect, Lance (age 7) from the Philippines diagnosed with chronic glomerulonephritis, Shin Gyu Hyun (age 22) who underwent a lung transplant after battling neuroblastoma and leukemia, and Lee Jia (age 10), currently receiving chemotherapy for leukemia. J.Y. Park offered words of encouragement as the children shared their dreams following improvements in their health.

The event also introduced the EDM picture book volunteer program, in which JYP artists and employees collaboratively create picture books to deliver messages of hope and encouragement to children. This year, JYP staff along with TWICE and ITZY participated in producing “Our Shining Parol”, a story conveying the message that “when we come together despite our differences, we can achieve anything.” The book was published in Tagalog for children in the Philippines and in Korean for domestic audiences.

An EDM Medical Support Impact Assessment segment followed, examining the long-term effects of the program on children, families, and communities. From 2020 through November 2025, JYP has provided a cumulative 7.92 billion KRW across 10 countries, supporting 366 children in Korea and 3,593 overseas. The initiative has fostered hope for recovery, strengthened children’s resilience and motivation for treatment, eased financial burdens, reinforced emotional stability, and encouraged aspirations toward future dreams. Moreover, partnerships with NGOs and medical institutions helped establish sustainable local healthcare systems.

The newly launched EDM Giving Project was also introduced. This public-interest project collects donations from fans through JYP EDM booths at domestic concerts and HappyBean donation jars, directing the funds to children’s medical expenses at year’s end. Donations totaling 45,214,400 KRW were raised through concerts by DAY6, TWICE, Stray Kids, Xdinary Heroes (XH), and NMIXX, with all proceeds donated in full to support children in need. The project highlighted the collective positive influence of artists and fans working together.

Following last year, JYP also hosted the JYPBT CHAMPIONSHIP, an amateur charity basketball tournament aimed at supporting medical expenses for underprivileged children regardless of nationality, gender, or disability. This year, all participation fees and sponsorship donations totaling 21 million KRW were donated to Samsung Medical Center.

JYP further shared updates on its eco-friendly initiative Love Earth, aimed at creating a cleaner environment for future generations. As part of its annual marine conservation efforts tied to International Coastal Cleanup Day, JYP ran the Race for Ocean campaign, encouraging fans to participate in carbon-neutral activities over four weeks. Based on participation, JYP raised 50.51 million KRW and carried out 40 coastal and shoreline cleanup activities.

Lastly, JYP highlighted charitable actions taken by its artists throughout the year. Led by J.Y. Park, who has donated a total of 40 billion KRW since 2022 to support children’s medical expenses, artists including Jang Woo Young, DAY6’s Dowoon, TWICE, Stray Kids, ITZY’s Yeji and Chaeryeong, NMIXX, and KickFlip extended support to children in need, wildfire victims in the Gyeongsang region, and victims of the Hong Kong fire tragedy.

Concluding 2025 JYP EDM DAY, JUN. K shared, “In the early days, we visited Samsung Medical Center to care for children and hold small events. Seeing those efforts grow into the EDM initiative makes me proud as a JYP artist, and I want to continue offering sincere support.” Yuna added, “Meeting the children in person and participating in EDM DAY was deeply moving. Their responses became another source of comfort for me, and I hope to continue supporting them through various activities.” J.Y. Park reaffirmed the purpose of the EDM initiative—to give courage and strength to children whose dreams feel out of reach—and expressed hope to continue the journey at the next EDM DAY.
