Soccer legend Thierry Henry opened up about his connection with the Korean variety show 'Infinite Challenge.'
On October 3, EA SPORTS FC Online’s YouTube channel released a video titled, “Meeting Henry After 18 Years, Even Remembering Jung Jun Ha Leaving Early.”
In the video, Jung Jun Ha and HaHa went to meet Thierry Henry, who had appeared on 'Infinite Challenge' 18 years ago. At the time, Jung Jun Ha had to leave the filming early due to scheduling conflicts. He confessed, “I was busier than this guy back then, so I felt really sorry… I really did.”
While Jung Jun Ha disguised himself as a cameraman and hid among the staff, HaHa met Henry first. When HaHa said, “I was single back then, but now I have three kids,” Henry replied jokingly, “Life got harder, huh?”
HaHa expressed that he missed Henry and said, “The other members also really want to see you." He added, "One of them had to leave early back then.” Henry laughed and responded, “I remember. He said he had to go.” HaHa, then began hinting at introducing Jung Jun Ha. Eventually, Henry recognized Jung Jun Ha from the clues and greeted him warmly.
Jung Jun Ha praised Henry, saying, “Even though you were so busy back then, you spent all your time with us without any sense of authority. The members were so happy.” When Jung Joon Ha joked, “Let’s do this quickly since we’re busy today too,” Henry cheekily replied, “Do you have to go again?”
HaHa emphasized, “Last year, others made content, but the original waterball challenge is ours.” Henry shared, “I’ve said it before, but wherever I go around the world, Koreans don’t talk about football—they only talk to me about 'Infinite Challenge'.” Jung Jun Ha replied, “For us, ‘Henry’ equals waterball. We’re grateful because you react so well and engage so much.” Henry then watched the old 'Infinite Challenge' footage and laughed, saying, “I want to show this to my kids too.”
When asked, “How did it feel to do that challenge? You were at your peak and there was a risk of injury,” Henry said, “It was such a good memory for me. The members made me feel comfortable. If I hadn’t enjoyed it, I wouldn’t have done it,” giving credit to the cast.
