Lee Hyori celebrated the opening of her yoga studio by handing out rice cakes.
On the official SNS of her yoga studio ‘Ananda,’ reviews were posted by students who attended the first class.
Students left comments such as: “Teacher Hyori is so beautiful. It was such a great time,” “I want to sign up for a regular pass,” “Thank you, teacher. We love you,” and “Her voice was so soft and calming, it gave me inner peace.” In the photos they shared, Lee Hyori appeared in simple attire with a natural look.
According to a nearby resident, Lee Hyori distributed rice cakes to mark the studio’s opening.
On that day, she personally led the first yoga class and welcomed students. Since the studio’s opening had already attracted much attention, the fact that Lee Hyori herself would serve as the instructor drew even more interest.
Considering the nature of the classes, she announced that photography and video recording would be prohibited before and during sessions, with only a group photo provided.
Lee Hyori first announced the opening of her studio in Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, on August 29. Classes were initially scheduled to begin in the first week of September but were postponed by a week due to issues with the reservation system.
The studio plans to refine operations during its soft opening and launch regular pass programs starting in October.
The one-day classes run for about an hour and are limited to one purchase per person. There are no separate regular class tracks, only the one-day class format. Each pass costs 35,000 KRW (≈ 25 USD). The September one-day classes sold out within an hour of opening.
Meanwhile, Lee Hyori and her husband Lee Sang Soon, who married in 2013, had been living in Jeju but moved into a detached home in Pyeongchang-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, at the end of last year.
