LE SSERAFIM’s Kim Chaewon to sing theme song for Netflix Japan series ‘Romantic Anonymous’
Kim Chaewon of K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM has been selected to sing the main theme song for the upcoming Netflix Japan original series 'Romantic Anonymous', set to premiere on October 16 KST.
According to her agency SOURCE MUSIC, Kim Chaewon will lend her voice to “Confession”, a Japanese remake of the iconic 1999 Korean track by Park Hye Kyung, originally known for its delicate portrayal of unrequited love and bright, hopeful melody. Kim is expected to reinterpret the track with her own emotional depth and unique vocal tone, enhancing the drama’s romantic atmosphere.
This marks Kim Chaewon’s first time recording a solo OST. Expressing her excitement, she said,
“It’s my first time singing a drama OST by myself, so I’m very thrilled. I used to listen to Park Hye Kyung’s 'Confession' often—it’s such a well-known song. I’m honored to remake it and can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
She added,
“It’s a song that feels like first love. I hope people feel fluttery and encouraged when they listen.”
A snippet of Kim’s version of “Confession” was already previewed in the official trailer for Romantic Anonymous, released on August 14 through Netflix Japan’s official YouTube channel. The full song will be available on streaming platforms starting September 19, ahead of the drama’s premiere.
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM is set to kick off their North American tour ‘2025 LE SSERAFIM TOUR EASY CRAZY HOT IN NORTH AMERICA’ on September 3 in Newark.
