Tzuyang, one of South Korea’s most prominent mukbang YouTubers with over 12.2 million subscribers, opened up about her emotional struggles following a highly publicized abuse and fraud scandal involving her former boyfriend and agency CEO.
In a preview for episode 358 of MBC’s 'Omniscient Interfering View', which aired on August 2 (KST), Tzuyang was seen returning to her trademark food challenges—mixing a giant bowl of rice early in the morning—and revealing a snack pantry that rivaled a convenience store. Her manager noted, "When she was in her first year of high school, she ate bread every four hours. She also ate large portions during school meals."
However, the emotional highlight of the teaser came when her manager broke down in tears while recalling the difficult period following the scandal. "We didn’t even go outside. It was just the two of us at home. It was a really hard time. If I hadn’t been there, she might not have made it through," the manager said. Tzuyang, visibly moved, added, "Even now, I still can’t bring myself to talk about it."

In July 2023, Tzuyang shocked fans by revealing in a YouTube video that her ex-boyfriend, who was also the CEO of her former agency, had subjected her to four years of verbal abuse, physical violence, threats, and extortion. She stated that he had taken approximately USD 30 million from her. The man died during the criminal investigation, and the case was closed without prosecution.
Following this, Tzuyang became a target of cyber extortion by a group of YouTubers known as “cyber wreckers.” They reportedly used her past to blackmail her for money. The individuals involved were eventually convicted and sentenced to prison.
Her upcoming appearance on 'Omniscient Interfering View' marks her first detailed public discussion about the personal toll of the events. Fans are eagerly awaiting her full story, moved by the glimpse of her vulnerability and resilience.
