NewJeans’ mega-hit single ‘Ditto’ has surpassed 800 million streams on global streaming platform Spotify, marking another historic achievement for the group.
According to Spotify on August 22, 2025 KST, ‘Ditto’, a track from the single album ‘OMG’, recorded a cumulative 800,010,018 plays. It becomes NewJeans’ second song to cross the 800-million-stream threshold, following the album’s title track ‘OMG’.
Released in advance on December 19, 2022 KST, ‘Ditto’ reinterprets Baltimore club dance music through NewJeans’ unique style, blending dreamy humming, warm instrumentals, and tender vocals. The track propelled the group—then only six months into their debut—onto the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Top 100.
Domestically, ‘Ditto’ dominated Korean charts, holding No. 1 on Melon’s daily chart for 99 consecutive days and its weekly chart for 14 straight weeks. It went on to top the service’s 2023 year-end comprehensive chart. Nearly three years since release, the track remains a fixture on Korean streaming rankings. In May 2025, it also won “Best K-Pop Song in Japan” at the Music Awards Japan, reaffirming its enduring global popularity.
In total, NewJeans now have 15 songs that have each surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. ‘OMG’ and ‘Ditto’ each exceeded 800 million, ‘Super Shy’ over 700 million, ‘Hype Boy’ over 600 million, ‘Attention’ and ‘New Jeans’ over 400 million, ‘ETA’ over 300 million, ‘Cookie’, ‘Hurt’, ‘Cool With You’, and ‘How Sweet’ each over 200 million, while ‘ASAP’, ‘Get Up’, ‘Supernatural’, and ‘Bubble Gum’ all passed 100 million. Altogether, the group’s songs have amassed more than 6.6 billion Spotify streams.
