Actor Lee Kyu Han, who previously dated Brave Girls’ Yujeong before breaking up after a year, was recently seen enjoying a romantic date—this time with singer Solbir, who is five years his junior.
On the August 4 episode of “Seeking Old Connections”, the results of the initial impression vote among the third-season cast were revealed. The new cast includes Song Byung Chul, Park Kwang Jae, Lee Kyu Han, Lee Kyun, Solbi, Hwangbo, Jang So Yeon, and Hong Ja. Two couples were formed based on first impressions, kicking off much-anticipated romantic journeys.
The episode unveiled the full results of the first impression vote, revealing that Lee Kyu Han and Solbi, as well as Hwangbo and Song Byung Chul, chose each other—forming two early couples.
These pairs then went on one-on-one drive dates. While Hwangbo and Song Byung Chul bonded over shared hobbies and interests, Lee Kyu Han and Solbi connected through honest conversations and bursts of laughter.
One notable moment was the “3-minute hand-holding mission,” which brought the romance to a new level. Lee Kyu Han said, “Rather than hesitating, I just held her hand confidently. Hands are as honest as eyes—I felt nervous and excited.” Solbi added, “Holding hands during a drive has always been a romantic dream of mine. The way he led my hand and held it made my heart flutter.”
Following their dates, the third season’s long-awaited couple journey officially began. When the newly formed couples arrived first, the remaining cast members couldn’t help but express a subtle envy, adding a hint of tension to the group.
Romance rumors intensified when Solbi gifted Lee Kyu Han a book she had written, and he gave her a handwritten letter in return. Park Kwang Jae playfully remarked, “Guess we’ll be getting wedding invitations next week.”
In the first official date sequence, female cast members chose whom to stand behind. Hong Ja selected Park Kwang Jae, saying she was curious about his hidden charm. Jang So Yeon picked Song Byung Chul, expressing regret over not being matched with him earlier. Hwangbo chose Lee Kyun, while Solbi once again chose Lee Kyu Han.
Later, Hwangbo and Lee Kyun’s one-on-one dinner date was revealed. As they reminisced about past memories, Lee Kyun expressed affection more confidently than before, surprising Hwangbo, who had always thought of him as a shy younger brother. The two, who had known each other for a long time, shared a meaningful meal for the first time thanks to the show, delivering a heartwarming moment for viewers.
Hwangbo discovered a new, more mature side of Lee Kyun, while he sincerely conveyed his desire to finally have a one-on-one conversation with her after all these years.
In the next episode, viewers can look forward to the 1-on-1 dates of Solbi and Lee Kyu Han, Song Byung Chul and Jang So Yeon, and Park Kwang Jae and Hong Ja. The teaser hinted at Jang So Yeon’s bold approach, raising expectations even further.
