Girls' Generation has brought exciting news to fans, hinting at their 20th anniversary comeback and a potential world tour.
On August 5, Yuri uploaded a video on her YouTube channel celebrating the group's 18th anniversary. In the video, all eight members gathered together for quality time over a meal. The girls caught up with one another, giving fans an update on their lives.
In particular, the members began discussing a possible comeback for their 20th anniversary, but the audio was muted to keep the details a secret. Instead, Yuri provided subtitles that explained, "And suddenly a meeting about the 20th anniversary project began. SONEs are curious what our meeting was about, aren't you?" She continued, "The members diligently talked about it joyfully. SONEs are waiting for the 20th anniversary, too, right? We are really waiting for it too. The 20th anniversary is a precious time for both SONEs and Girls' Generation, so we are having a lot of conversations about it. Please be healthy until we meet again."
Although short audio snippets of their conversation were revealed, some fans were able to deduce that they are planning a possible world tour for their 20th anniversary. One fan shared a short clip and said, "Listen to their conversation... Are they going to do a tour?" and pointed out that Tiffany had mentioned visiting 10 different cities.
This new revelation brought new excitement for Girls' Generation fans. These fans expressed their excitement in various social media platforms and online communities, commenting:
"I'm really going to go!! I'm going to follow you guys wherever you go."
"It's already the 20th anniversary two years later??"
