On August 5, tvN's new weekend drama 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty' released new stills teasing the evolving relationship between the two leads.
'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty' is a fantasy romantic comedy about a chef who time-slips to the past at the peak of her career and encounters a tyrant king with a sharp sense of taste. YoonA takes on the role of Yeon Ji Young, a French cuisine chef who unexpectedly finds herself in the past. Lee Chae Min takes on his first role as a king since his debut, expected to deliver an intense performance.
In the drama, Yeon Ji Young is on the verge of becoming the head chef of a three-star restaurant after winning a French cooking competition, when she is suddenly transported to the past. Struggling to adapt to the unfamiliar era, she crosses paths with tyrant Lee Heon. To survive, she relies on her cooking skills to win over the gourmet king's discerning palate.
However, Lee Heon, who holds Ji Young's fate in his hands, is not only known for his keen sense of taste that detects the slightest difference in flavor but also for his distrustful and sensitive nature. Curiosity builds whether the eccentric chef who appeared out of nowhere can satisfy the picky king's appetite and survive.
The released stills capture the shifting dynamic between the chef and the tyrant. In one photo, Lee Heon points his bow at Ji Young in her modern-day attire. Another shows Ji Young nervously serving food beside the king in the palace, with Lee Heon's ambiguous expression sparking intrigue.
In particular, one still shot reveals a close moment between the two, with their faces mere inches apart. As Ji Young is appointed as the royal head chef, viewers are eager to see how her relationship with Lee Heon will unfold.
