K-pop girl group aespa (under SM Entertainment) is set to unleash a bold new sound with their sixth mini-album, ‘Rich Man,’ dropping September 5 at 1 PM KST across global music platforms.
Comprised of six genre-diverse tracks—including hip-hop, dreamy R&B, sentimental mid-tempo, and pop—the album is headlined by the title track “Rich Man,” a dynamic dance number infused with gritty electric guitar riffs and explosive band instrumentation. The track’s addictive topline and bold energy are amplified by the members’ distinctive vocals, signaling a powerful sonic transformation for the group.
Thematically centered around the empowering slogan “I am enough as I am. I am a ‘Rich Man,’” the album radiates messages of self-worth and confidence. The lyrics of the title track reinforce aespa’s signature charisma and independence, encouraging listeners to embrace themselves without needing validation.
A teaser image released on August 26 at midnight KST via aespa’s official social media accounts further sparked anticipation, showcasing Karina and Ningning in full rock band mode—commanding a mic, drum set, and synthesizer, exuding what fans have dubbed the group’s “metallic charm.”
Ahead of the album release, aespa will also hold their third solo concert titled ‘2025 aespa LIVE TOUR - SYNK : aeXIS LINE’ at KSPO DOME in Seoul from August 29 to 31, offering fans an early taste of their evolved musical style and stage presence.
