Singer-songwriter Jukjae has publicly responded to a wave of malicious comments that surfaced after he announced his marriage to broadcaster Heo Song Yeon.
On July 16, Jukjae posted an update on his social media, sharing a photo with his pet dog. This came shortly after he revealed that he would be marrying Heo Song Yeon, drawing significant attention from fans and the public. Heo is the older sister of Heo Youngji, a member of the girl group KARA. The couple decided to marry after being in a long-term relationship.
In his initial announcement, Jukjae asked for his fans’ support and said that he had met someone who truly understands and cherishes him, and that they had decided to build a life together.

However, following the announcement, some online users began leaving negative comments. Remarks such as “married singer-songwriter,” “this is a turn-off,” and “your fans are angry” started appearing. These messages criticized his decision to marry and suggested that fans were turning against him.
Jukjae did not stay silent. He responded directly to some of the commenters, saying things like “Take a look at your own life,” “I think I’m better off than someone who goes around bothering others on Instagram,” and “Thanks for the attention, now focus on your own life.”
Although the couple has not disclosed the exact date of their wedding, they have begun preparing for the event, including recently going on a dress tour together.
Since debuting in 2014, Jukjae has been loved for songs such as "Let’s Go See the Stars" and "Do You Want to Walk With Me?" His recent small-theater concert, held after the marriage announcement, sold out entirely, showing that his popularity remains strong.
