JTBC unveiled the official group poster for its forthcoming drama 'We Are All Trying Here,' showcasing the ensemble cast and the central character’s distinctive presence.
The series tells the story of Hwang Dong Man (Koo Kyo Hwan), a man who sees himself as the only one struggling in life while surrounded by successful friends. Consumed by frustration, envy, and jealousy, he embarks on a personal journey in search of peace.
The poster features Hwang Dong Man lying across a dining table, surrounded by twelve characters. These include his older brother Hwang Jin Man (Park Hae Joon); film producer Byun Eun Ah (Go Youn Jung) and production company CEO Choi Dong Hyun (Choi Won Young); actress Oh Jung Hee (Bae Jong Ok) and her daughter Jang Mi Ran (Han Sunhwa); as well as his colleagues in filmmaking: Park Kyung Se (Oh Jung Se), Go Hye Jin (Kang Mal Geum), Park Young Soo (Jeon Bae Soo), Lee Jun Hwan (Sim Hee Sub), Lee Ki Ri (Bae Myung Jin), Woo Seung Tae (Jo Min Guk), and Choi Hyo Jin (Park Ye Ni).
Hwang Dong Man has aspired to make his directorial debut for twenty years yet remains perceived as shameless by those around him. The poster captures him disregarding conventions as he sprawls across the dining table, reflecting both his immaturity and his envy of others. Accompanied by the tagline “We used to be close, back when we all were nothing”, the image emphasizes the series’ focus on ambition, friendship, and personal struggle.
'We Are All Trying Here' is expected to explore the complex dynamics of human relationships and the pursuit of success while offering both dramatic tension and reflective storytelling.
