Xdinary Heroes' Jun Han and JYP Entertainment apologize following controversy over racial and eugenic remarks

Xdinary Heroes' Jun Han and JYP Entertainment have issued official apology statements.
As reported, the JYP boy band member recently came under fire for his remarks on the fan communication app Bubble. His generalized comments about physical and cognitive traits based on race sparked accusations of racial stereotyping and support for eugenics.
On June 29, Jun Han released a handwritten apology acknowledging the impact of his remarks:
"Hello, this is Jun Han of Xdinary Heroes.
First, I sincerely apologize for causing deep hurt and discomfort to many people with my careless remarks.
I’ve come to realize that what I said reflected a biased perspective, and I am deeply reflecting on my actions.
To those who were hurt or felt discomfort due to my lack of historical and social awareness and sensitivity, I once again offer my sincerest apologies.
From now on, I will continue to learn and grow so that I can act based on proper knowledge.
I will also take this incident as a lesson to be more cautious and responsible with every word and action.
Once again, I sincerely apologize."
On Bubble, Jun Han also posted an additional message to fans, apologizing for having spoken without sufficient understanding:
"I sincerely apologize for all the inappropriate and hurtful things I’ve said up until now, especially when I spoke without proper understanding. From now on, I will be much more careful with my words, study and learn continuously, and strive to become someone with proper and sound knowledge. I will avoid holding biased thoughts and be mindful of even the smallest actions. I apologize."
As his agency, JYP Entertainment issued a formal statement expressing regret over their lack of proper guidance and oversight:
"Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.
We sincerely bow our heads in apology to everyone who was hurt by the careless remarks and behavior of our artist, Xdinary Heroes member Jun Han, on a fan communication platform today.
Jun Han is taking this matter very seriously and is deeply reflecting on the hurt and disappointment caused by his thoughtless words and actions. We also feel a strong sense of responsibility for the shortcomings in our education of the artist.
To prevent such incidents from happening again, we will pay closer attention and provide thorough education to our artists on social awareness, sensitivity, and appropriate ways to communicate with the public. We are committed to helping them develop a sound set of values and present a more mature image.
Once again, we deeply apologize to everyone who was affected by this incident."
