Singer Sean, husband of actress Jung Hye Young and father of four, has revealed that he did not send his first two children to postnatal care centers.
On June 2, a new video was uploaded to the YouTube channel With Sean titled “How Iron Dad Sean Cares for Energetic Twins (Parenting Tips, Meals, Bedtime)”.
In the episode, Sean joined the now-popular YouTube twins Dana and Solar for a day of hands-on parenting. Before diving into childcare, he commented, “These days, a lot of dads are involved in raising their kids. But when I used to carry my firstborn in a baby sling, it was still rare for dads to take part in parenting.”
He continued, “Times have changed a lot, and more dads are involved now, but I’m sure many still find it difficult. It’s definitely not easy.” He proudly recalled, “After appearing just once on ‘The Return of Superman,’ I was nicknamed ‘the god of parenting.’”
Sean and Jung Hye Young have two sons and two daughters. Surprising viewers, Sean said, “I raised them all myself. Parenting was so easy for me.” He then corrected himself, saying, “I shouldn’t say ‘easy’—it was enjoyable.”
He went on to reveal, “For our first and second children, we didn’t use postnatal care centers. We did everything at home and didn’t even get help from our parents.” He explained, “If the mother is around, the baby naturally clings to her, so from our third child onward, we decided to use a care center.”
