Ahead of its premiere in theaters across Korea in July, the highly anticipated blockbuster film 'Omniscient Reader: The Prophet' revealed new stills of its 7 main characters including Kim Dok Ja, Yoo Joong Hyuk, Yoo Sang Ah, Lee Hyun Sung, Jung Hee Won, Lee Ji Hye, and Lee Gil Young.
The film follows the story of Kim Dok Ja, a contract employee at a game development company. He is the only reader of a web novel which has been serialized online for 10 years. On the day of the novel's conclusion, the world turns upside down and events which unfolded in the novel begin to occur in the real world.
Actor Ahn Hyo Seop plays the role of Kim Dok Ja, the only person in the real world who knows how the story goes. While overcoming the supernatural disasters unfolding before his eyes, he meets Yoo Joong Hyuk, the web novel's main character, played by Lee Min Ho.
Chae Soo Bin takes on the role of Kim Dok Ja's co-worker Yoo Sang Ah, while Shin Seung Ho transforms into the soldier Lee Hyun Sung. Nana joins the story as the lithe female warrior Jung Hee Won, and BLACKPINK's Jisoo takes on the role of the high schooler Lee Ji Hye, who considers Yoo Joong Hyuk her teacher. Finally, child actor Kwon Eun Sung plays a pivotal role in the story as Lee Gil Young, a boy who can interact with pests.
