On June 12 KST, Bang Sung Hoon, legally representing actor Kim Soo Hyun on behalf of LKB & Partners, confirmed, "It's true that one property owned by Kim Soo Hyun at Galleria Forêt was recently seized by the court."
The lawyer added on, "However, this seizure is unfair. Kim Soo Hyun is a victim of HOVERLAB. Although the issues lie with the assailants, the arrows are being pointed toward the victim simply because contractual obligations were not met."
Kim Soo Hyun's legal representative then claimed, "From the perspective of the advertiser, they paid a model but cannot use the model for advertisement purposes, resulting in financial losses. This is undeniable. But who triggered this situation? It was HOVERLAB. If we can prove through the court proceedings that HOVERLAB made false claims, then Kim Soo Hyun's reputation will be restored and the advertisers will no longer have reason to pursue compensation for damages."
Previously, it was reported that the cosmetic medical tools company CLASSYS filed a legal request demanding the provisional seizure of Kim Soo Hyun's real estate property at Galleria Forêt, worth approximately 3 billion KRW (~ $2.2 million USD). The company claimed that Kim Soo Hyun's side failed to pay the penalties associated with a breach of an advertisement contract.
Kim Soo Hyun owns 2 additional properties at Galleria Forêt.
Meanwhile, the court also recently approved of a provisional seizure request filed by Kim Soo Hyun's agency against Kim Se Eui, the owner of the YouTube channel HOVERLAB (Garo Sero Institute).
