On June 13, FirstOne Entertainment announced that Seowon will officially be departing from the boy group NINE.i.
The agency released the following statement:
"Hello, this is NINE.i.
Seowon, who has been promoting as a member of NINE.i, has left the group due to personal reasons.
We sincerely apologize for the concern this sudden news may cause our fans.
Moving forward, NINE.i will continue activities as a seven-member group.
Once again, we are deeply sorry for causing hurt to our fans with this sudden news.”
NINE.i debuted in 2022 as a 10-member group. Following the departures of Winnie in January 2024 and Joohyoung in March 2024, the group will now continue its activities with seven members after Seowon’s departure.
Meanwhile, Seowon, who previously appeared on Mnet’s survival show 'Boys Planet,' is set to return to the screen in 'BOYS II PLANET K,' which is scheduled to premiere on July 17.
