On June 13th, a fan's public testimony describing a violent encounter with a NCT WISH security guard at an airport has sparked shock and widespread concern across online communities.
In a heartfelt and disturbing statement shared online, the fan recalled being physically assaulted by a security guard while attempting to exit a crowded airport terminal. The incident reportedly occurred as the fan was trying to move aside as directed, but was blocked by a dense crowd.
“He had no patience and pushed me against the wall with force,” the fan wrote. “I was pushed in pain and turned to him, saying ‘Please don't push anymore,’ because I really couldn't leave. He actually raised his hand and struck my head with great force. That was too heavy, and my head is still clearly uncomfortable.”
The fan, visibly shaken, stated they were forced into self-defense out of instinct, emphasizing the stark physical and power imbalance. According to the account, the security guard attempted to continue the assault until a manager intervened to stop him.
“There were no NCT WISH members around. I was also not close to any member,” the fan clarified, dismissing any notion of intrusion or provocation. The post also revealed that the fan has documented evidence of the injuries and is prepared to disclose them if necessary.
“This is not just about protecting myself; it is also about telling everyone that no one should be treated so brutally without just cause,” the fan continued. “I have participated in many activities to take beautiful photos, experiencing numerous injustices, and have silently endured them. But today, the security guard’s actions have completely exceeded what I could bear.”
The emotional post ends with a stark message: “I will never forget this violence, and I can't easily forgive it.”
The incident has quickly gained attention as yet another example of the growing issue of excessive force used by security personnel at airports during celebrity schedules. With South Korea’s global cultural influence at its peak, chaotic airport scenes have become commonplace, often resulting in physical altercations, injuries, and increasing public frustration.
As the fan community demands accountability and transparency, questions are now being raised about safety standards, training, and the treatment of civilians in high-traffic celebrity zones. Neither NCT WISH's management nor the security agency involved has issued a public statement at the time of writing.
