
The fictional idol group HI-BOYZ from the hit drama 'Resident Playbook 'is stepping off the screen and onto the stage.
On May 16, News1 Korea reported that HI-BOYZ will be appearing on Mnet’s music show 'M Countdown,' and that the team is currently working out the final details.
Later, a representative from 'M Countdown' confirmed the news, saying, “It’s true that HI-BOYZ from Resident Playbook will be on the show,” and added, “They’re scheduled to appear on the May 22 broadcast.”
In 'Resident Playbook', TXT’s Yeonjun and Soobin made special cameo appearances as former bandmates of Um Jae Il (played by Kang You Seok), a first-year resident at Yulje Medical Center’s Jongro branch who used to be part of HI-BOYZ before the group disbanded.
Fans are excited to see the drama’s fictional group come to life on stage. The final two episodes of Resident Playbook air on May 17 and 18 at 9:20 p.m. KST, and 'M Countdown' airs every Thursday at 6 p.m. KST.
