G-Dragon is set to electrify Vietnam for the first time in 13 years, sparking a nationwide wave of excitement that has spread far beyond his fanbase into the country’s corporate world and social media feeds.
On Wednesday, May 14, his agency Galaxy Corporation officially announced that G-Dragon will perform at the 'K-STAR SPARK IN VIETNAM 2025 global music concert,' which will take place on June 21 at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi.
Following his appearance at the inaugural 'K-STAR SPARK concert' in Bangkok earlier this year, G-Dragon’s participation in the Vietnam edition marks his second consecutive performance in the high-profile series. 'K-STAR SPARK' is a new K-pop show that aims to reach global audiences with unique concepts, bold planning, and creative direction in line with the genre’s international popularity.
This will be G-Dragon’s first performance in Vietnam since Big Bang visited the country in 2012. Local fans, who have long awaited his return, are showing an outpouring of excitement and anticipation.

The enthusiasm has not stopped with fans. Major Vietnamese companies have also joined the celebration, embracing the daisy flower often associated with G-Dragon. Leading businesses including FPT (IT and telecommunications), SASIN (food and beverage), Ahamove (logistics), DirtyCoins (streetwear), Phe La (café), KOI Thé Vietnam (premium bubble tea), and MINISTOP Vietnam (convenience store) have filled their social media platforms with daisy-themed visuals in tribute.
Some brands have added a creative twist to their tributes. SASIN featured daisies made of ramen noodles and egg yolks, while Ahamove designed floral artwork using delivery boxes. These distinctive and colorful designs have captured public attention and added to the growing excitement around the event.
G-Dragon’s announcement follows a string of high-profile invitations. He was recently invited by Brigitte Macron, the First Lady of France, to perform at the country’s well-known charity event 'Pièces Jaunes.' He has also been named a headliner at the upcoming Head in the 'Clouds Los Angeles 2025 festival,' scheduled for May 31.
All eyes are now on Hanoi’s 40,000-seat stadium, where G-Dragon is expected to deliver a show that will be remembered by fans across the country.
In addition to the Vietnam performance, G-Dragon is continuing his '2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch]' following shows in Tokyo and Bulacan. The next leg includes stops in nine Asian cities such as Osaka, Macau, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Hong Kong, and Bangkok, along with two cities in Australia, Sydney and Melbourne. Additional tour dates and locations will be announced soon.
G-Dragon’s presence is also expanding through art. His media exhibition, 'G-DRAGON MEDIA EXHIBITION: Übermensch', will begin its first-ever global tour starting in Shanghai from May 30 to June 22. Exhibition details including dates and venues will be shared through the official social media channels on Instagram and X (@i_i_exh).
With Vietnam buzzing from the announcement, fans and brands alike are counting down the days to what promises to be a spectacular return.
