Taeyeon’s reputation as a true “homebody” has become the center of a humorous campaign.
On May 20, a new advertisement video, featuring Girls’ Generation members Tiffany and Sooyoung trying to coax Taeyeon out of her home.
In the video, Tiffany and Sooyoung board an Uber taxi and call Taeyeon via video chat. When she answers, lying comfortably in bed, the two urge her to come out and hang out with them. Taeyeon curtly replies, “I’m a bit busy right now. You guys go ahead,” and promptly ends the call.

Frustrated by her rejection, the duo decides to enlist fans, declaring, “If we want to get Taeyeon to leave the house, we need help.” They proceed to form a “Taeyeon Stay-at-Home Mediation Committee” with fans and set off to bring her outside. The video ends with the message, “Leave a comment that will make homebody Taeyeon want to go out!”

The advertisement quickly went viral, especially among Girls’ Generation fans who praised the ad’s accurate portrayal of the members’ real personalities. While Tiffany and Sooyoung are known to be extroverted and outgoing, Taeyeon is famously introverted—so much so that fans joke her MBTI starts with a capital “I.”
Even fellow member Hyoyeon reacted to the ad by commenting, “LOL,” to which Uber Korea’s official account responded, “We’re coming to pick you up too, Hyoyeon.”
Now in their 18th year since debut, the Girls’ Generation members continue to show affection for one another while focusing on individual careers.
Taeyeon is currently on her Asia tour “The TENSE”, Tiffany is active in musicals, solo music, and YouTube content, while Sooyoung is building her acting career and recently confirmed her Hollywood debut through a John Wick spinoff.
