BTS’s Jin is receiving widespread praise from major international media outlets for his second mini album, "Echo".

British music magazine NME remarked, “If Jin weren’t a member of BTS, he might have made a name for himself as the lead vocalist in a band, layering emotional vocals over guitar riffs and punchy drum beats.” The publication added, “Built on a band sound, "Echo" further solidifies Jin’s standing as a vocalist. He isn’t confined to the rock genre—he’s expanding his spectrum and continuing his musical exploration.”

NME also noted, “"Echo" is a fitting title for Jin’s second album. While it doesn’t reveal a completely different world from his previous release, The Astronaut, it feels like an echo bouncing off a wall—familiar yet fresh.” The review continued, “On this album, Jin focuses on refining and crafting music that suits him best. He will continue to grow and shine as he moves forward in the direction most authentic to him.”

American music magazine Rolling Stone highlighted Jin’s individuality within BTS, stating, “Jin has always had his own distinct style and romantic sensibility, and "Echo" expands that romantic world.” The review continued, “He elevates his signature style further with this album, exuding dazzling charm. He sings with the poise and confidence of someone who never left the stage.”

USA Today also emphasized Jin’s depth as a solo artist, writing, “With "Echo", Jin hones in on his artistry, amplifying emotional depth and stage presence. His love for the rock genre is clearly evident throughout the album.”

Billboard described the album as “a collection of seven tracks showcasing Jin’s matured vocals and emotions.” The publication added, “With its dynamic band sound, the album highlights Jin’s versatility as a vocalist.”

V Magazine offered similar praise, stating, “Jin poured his life experiences and emotional sincerity into "Echo." The album reflects his growth in musicality and artistic expression.”

Jin is scheduled to perform the title track “Don’t Say You Love Me” on NBC’s 'The Tonight Show' Starring Jimmy Fallon on May 22 (KST).
