BOYNEXTDOOR has achieved another major milestone. The group’s latest mini album 'No Genre', released on May 13, surpassed 1 million in cumulative sales within just five days of release.
According to Hanteo Chart on May 18 (KST), 'No Genre' had sold a total of 1,074,316 copies as of May 17, combining all three physical versions. The new record far surpasses the first-week sales of their previous album, '19.99', which had sold 759,156 copies in its debut week.
The group’s growth trajectory has been remarkable. Starting with around 110,000 copies sold of their debut single album, they followed up with mini albums that sold approximately 450,000 and 530,000 copies in their respective first weeks—demonstrating steady, step-by-step growth.
'19.99', which entered the Billboard 200 at No. 40 on the chart dated September 28, 2024, marked their first million-seller, reaching that milestone in about six weeks. In comparison, 'No Genre' achieved it in just five days, highlighting the group’s rising popularity.
The album has also been receiving strong reactions globally. In Japan, 'No Genre' topped the Oricon Daily Album Ranking on both May 14 and 15, while on China's QQ Music, the title track and B-sides landed across the Soaring Chart on May 14.
The title track 'I Feel Good' landed in the upper ranks of Melon’s Top 100 the day after its release, showing strong digital performance alongside album sales. Combined with their January digital single 'One Day I LOVE YOU', the group is enjoying back-to-back hits.
BOYNEXTDOOR has been actively involved in the songwriting process since debut, infusing their music with relatable stories and emotional sincerity. Their signature “everyday-life-inspired” sound, combined with expressive live performances using handheld mics, engaging stage presence, and versatility across genres, has fueled their growing fanbase.
Their group chemistry also shines through their original content series such as 'WHAT? DOOR!' and 'WITH BOYNEXTDOOR', with some episodes surpassing 1 million views on YouTube.
The group is currently promoting 'I Feel Good' on music shows and will continue their comeback with appearances on various programs, including MBC’s If You Rest, You’re Lucky, SBS PowerFM’s Cultwo Show and Love Game, and KBS Cool FM’s Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show.
