Blackpink’s Rosé has achieved a new milestone with her hit song 'APT,' a collaboration with pop star Bruno Mars. The track has soared to 5th place on Billboard’s main singles chart, the 'Hot 100,' just three months after its release.
According to Billboard on the 6th (local time), 'APT' jumped 29 spots from the previous week, marking a significant climb. This surpasses Rosé’s previous best of 8th place, achieved in November last year.
With this achievement, Rosé becomes the first female K-pop artist to enter the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100. In addition, 'APT' ranked 2nd on the UK Official Singles Chart 'Top 100' on the 3rd, solidifying its global success.
The song gained widespread popularity for its playful use of the lyrics “Apt, apt,” inspired by Konglish (Korean-style English) and a well-known Korean drinking game. Its catchy rhythm even earned it the nickname “prohibited song for the college entrance exam” among students.
Rosé recently expressed her gratitude in an Instagram post, writing, “2024 has been the most difficult yet rewarding year for me so far. My first full-length album, which I am quite proud of, has come out. I am grateful to everyone who supported and loved my first album.”
