JYP Entertainment has postponed the debut project content release for their rookie boy group KickFlip in light of the Jeju Air plane crash at Muan International Airport.

On December 30th, JYP announced on KickFlip’s official social media accounts: “The KickFlip content originally scheduled to be released on January 1st, 2025, at midnight, has been postponed. The content will now be uploaded on January 6th at midnight. We will provide further updates if there are any additional changes.”

They continued, “We kindly ask for the understanding of our fans and express our deep condolences for the victims of this unfortunate incident.”

KickFlip is JYP’s new 7-member boy group. The group’s name reflects their ambition to break free from conventions and forge a new path, much like the skateboarding trick of flipping a board while moving forward.
