Hi, I am a person who has an interest in k-pop and has been in the k-pop sectors for a very long time, I wanted to share some thoughts on the k-pop groups and situations, and also some rules in the whole k-pop industry.

If there are some points that are same as others, please let me know, I will delete it as fast as I can.

1. BTS is really the top among all the k-pop groups, it is the first-ever K-pop group that has actually successfully entered the western industry, there are not any groups that have succeeded in entering the western markets before.

However, in the western market, k-pop is not popular, in the westerners' opinion, BTS is way larger than the whole K-pop, although it is slowly being accepted.

I really doubt what is really the celling of BTS, hopefully, create more miracles in 2020. Army fighting>U<!!!

2. Twice is the top in the 3rd gen girl group, their performance will really make people feel good, even if you are not their fans, you will still feel happy and smile unconsciously while watching their MVs(JYP is really a girl group master >U<). Their album sales, popularity among netizens really creates a big gap among all the other same generation girl groups.

Also, they are probably the most successful girl group in Japan, just by looking at the album sales and the number of people attends their concerts, they are really the ultimate queen in Japan.

However, the dating of Momo and Jihyo has really damaged the good reputation built by twice. Which has caused a lot of diehard fans, both from Japan and South Korea to leave them and even post back negative comments back on them, and in which can be seen in many areas, Twice has also being called as "dating girl group" and "cheater girl group" in Japan, and also the NHK red white competition 2020's watching rate.

Also, they are facing threat from many girl groups now, Blackpink is catching up, IZONE has very good Japan comeback results, will Twice still be the top girl group in 2020, let's watch and see.

3. Blackpink

I have a very complicated emotion and feeling on Blackpink, their music style is really nice and good, however, some of their fans are also very irritating and bad, and which causes Blackpink to have a very bad reputation among most fans of other k-pop groups.

Jennie is the ultimate ACE in blackpink, she has very good fashion resources, and she is very charismatic, however, she really does not focus much on performing on stage and received a lot of criticisms on her. I can say that if she can really correct her attitude, she can really "kill" a lot of female idols on stage.

The visual of this group is like this when in South Korea, it is Jisoo when outside of South Korea, it is Lisa.

Lisa's visual is really popular in the west and China, but not in South Korea

Some people really doubt about the relationship between Jennie and Lisa.

Blackpink is really catching up from many areas, they still have a chance to surpass twice.

4. EXO is really dead now, they just left a name there( WTF Chen Why you do that), Chen really destroyed the whole EXO, I have never imagined that EXO will end in such way, Chen is the one who contributed most to the situation now.

The members' solo activities will be very hard to accomplish from now on.

5. Seventeen has really saved the whole Pledis from bankrupt.

Pledis has somehow really dragged the whole seventeen down in some ways.

They are the first one who has been known of their creatIve abilities.

The members are really close to each other and they are really united.

Seventeen is really very very popular and big in South Korea and Japan, South korea and Japan Carats are really strong in their purchasing abilities.

They are very underestimated international wise. 

They are technically the 2nd boy group now.

6. Red velvet has the best overall abilities in the same generation girl groups, Irene is the top visual in the generation, Seulgi is the best overall ACE and Wendy is the best overall vocal. They have the best personal resources.

Their song styles can be very unacceptable by certain people, the concept of sweet-dirty.

The members are not very ambitious.

Psycho really saved the overall girl groups' music streaming in the year 2019.

7. MAMAMOO is technically a boy group due to the super large number of female fans (the ratio is shockingly 2:8, now is nearly 1:9!!!!O-O!!!!!) Somehow like F(x) due to a large number of female fans.

They are more like a singer group than idols.

Hwasa is really charming.

8. I.O.I's overall abilities smash IZONE, and IZONE's overall results smash I.O.I.

IZONE can make a threat to twice in the Japan market.

Kim Minju is the actual centre in IZONE

IZONE can continue mostly because they can still make a very large amount of profit, while X1 cannot because they cannot make many profits. And also IZONE's fanbase is more stable compared to X1.

9. WANNA ONE will be recorded in the K-POP history, it is the most successful group among all the 4 produce series.

10. ITZY and TWICE is somehow like SNSD and F(X), where the company has the top girl group in hand and at the same time to operate a small group with very Avant-Garde and small-grouped music style to test the market and also to attract fans.

11. GD is the diamond in the industry.

12. Jackson wang's popularity>> the rest of GOT7 members

GOT7 is popular in overseas(especially Thailand), but in south korea emmmmm.

13. Foreign k-pop idols are the ones who are being ignored and criticised a lot, South Korea is a xenophobic society, if foreigners do something wrong, they will receive harsher criticises, and in which can be really harmful to the idols. Like Sana case and Lisa case.

14. Dating between idols is destructive for the whole group, as most fans see the idols as their boy/girlfriend, if the idol dates, they will feel desperate and very angry, then they will leave the group right now and posting back negative comments, which can be said as death penalty to the k-pop groups. it is a silent rule in the whole k-pop industry that it is a crime and guilty to date( for idols only, singer and actor can ignore).

15. K-pop groups generally cannot last long because no one can stay perfect in front of the camera all the time.

16. Girl groups will generally die down more quickly compared to boy groups.

17. South Korea market is the most important market for all k-pop groups, K-POP K-POP, it means Korean pop ultimately, the international results can be just add ons to the k-pop groups, if they lost the south Korea market, trust me, they will just die down in a split of the eye.

18. I felt very sad for the k-pop idols for a certain extent, a group of teenage kids, learning to dance, sing, how to please fans in a very young age, their body is not fully developed, after debut, there is still a very little chance for them to become popular, whatever they have done, whether it is good or bad things, there will always be very vicious curse and comments to these people, and they cannot show a single sign of angry, their body is harmed a lot during the training, and also they only know how to dance and sing, and after the group has disbanded, they have no sufficient skills to stay in this VUCA society.  

19. The position in the whole South Korea Industry will be: Movie actor>Drama actor>Singer>Emcee/host>Idol groups>Comedian, Idols are really at the very bottom of the whole entertainment chain.

20. KPOP INFLUENCE IS MUCH MORE STRONGER IN ASIA COMPARED TO WESTERN MARKET.
