TWICE, Seventeen, and more run away from dangerous pyrotechnics at the 'Seoul Music Awards'

The pyrotechnics at the '28th Seoul Music Awards' scared away several artists.

On January 15, the annual award ceremony took place at Gocheok Sky Dome. During BTS' stage for "Fake Love," multiple fireworks went off on stage.

The pyrotechnics happened to be set right behind the artist section. Many idols are captured surprised by the loud noise and explosion. Some members of Seventeen and TWICE are even seen running away from their seats.

Fans worried about the artists' safety, commenting, "They're seated way too close to the explosives," "They all look so terrified," "I thought it was a bomb."

That is insane. NO other artist had explosives like that, I don't think. So no wonder they were so shocked. The tables were WAY too close. I am glad no one was hurt, but their ears must be ringing. SMA needs to take responsibility for that.

Nah SMA only cares about the views and money they get from the artist's fanbase.

Someone is going to get fired for this, but the organisation won't take the blame...

yeah, um, i don't think BTS would've wanted it that close to the other artists if they had a say in it. also, if your ears are ringing and you're trying to perform, the performance becomes lesser in quality because you can't hear cues and stuff like that

BTS aren't in charge (nor big hit) of pyrotechnics. The company asks for pyrotechnics and the organizer (SMA in this case) provides and install them.

Not only BTS, all other artist or anyone (who is sane) would not want explosives to be sent off this close to a group of people

I am sure they don't, Even at BTS concert they never put explosive fireworks around the centre stage because it is surrounded by GA area.

Wasn't so much the pyrotechnics going off that caused them to move it was the embers falling on them that was the problem that's why they were shaking their clothes and hair.

Fire the safety officers. Too near to the tables and excessive amount of pyrotechnics.

Yes i think too. It's SEVENTEEN's Jeonghan.

I got surprised to see S-coups looks so down(I thought it's because of tired) in the surprise V live SEVENTEEN did after the award show. It's known fact that he easily comes to shock because of fire crackers.

I've seen some fancams of these and it's horrible. YunHyeong of iKON literally dust off his suit because of the fireworks residue. You see, it might affect your hearing abilities if it was exploded near you-literally less than a meter away from it was experienced by some idols.

That's not just "some" members of those groups, it's literally everyone in the area. They all freaked out, and I don't blame them.

That could have been a lawsuit in the making! They definitely didn't give a flaming f*** about the other artists safety. Completely dropped the ball. Those sparks could have set someone's hair on fire. Insane!

Musicians all face the possibility of hearing loss because of the amplification involved in a concert. Explosions such at this can cause permanent tinnitus (a loud sound in your head that can range from buzzing to a dentist drill to a smoke alarm). It will ruin their lives and their careers if that happens. Tinnitus is so hard to bear that some people end up committing suicide. This was very irresponsible and should never happen again!

If I had sat that close to the pyrotechnics, I would really worry about my hearing. I love my hearing, and once you lose it you don't get it back. I want to listen to music in the future and enjoy it to the fullest, without having to crack up the volume resulting in even worse hearing loss.

What on earth does BTS striving to have the biggest and most amazing stage have to do with the poor placement and judgement of whoever placed the fireworks? I swear people like you look for any and every opportunity to to say negative things about BTS, even when they are not at fault.

Share

My_Name_Is_K 29 days ago 0

I am not saying that it's their fault but like everyone had a safe stage and as BTS is worldwide, SMA thought that it will be necessary to put fireworks so they can show off again and again. It's SMA fault I know it, at least it negative for SMA not for BTS don't feel attacked everytime we talk about them istg.
