Korea's weirdest style & makeup trends

1. Heart Bangs

This is literally a thing! It is quite cute, charming and not too unconventional for Korean trends. Being one of the more simpler trends to try, boys and girls found their inspiration from Kylie Jenner after she uploaded a photo of her hair resembling the shape of multiple hearts. However, I think they all look like Sailor Moon.

2. Drunken Makeup

Oddly enough, Korean girls want that light red flush glow that comes with drinking a few shots of soju. Despite it being called drunken makeup, it adds a bit of a Disney Princess-like, youthful glow to your face any girl can rock.

3. Lipstick Liner Tattoo

As harsh as this sounds, this is a thing - and Megan Bowen goes through all the blood, sweat, and tears, and more blood just to show us how this procedure is and its finishing results. It might not be for everyone, but it is better than the Kylie Lip Challenge... is this girl just running all the trends these days?

4. Gradient Lipstick Powder

I will still never understand the need for Korean females (or anybody using lip tint for that matter) to look like they just finished sucking a popsicle from the ice cream truck. However, I will take this over the bloody tattoo any day. Can I get cotton candy swirl?

5. Aegyo Sal (Puffy, Smiling Eyes)

Some people want to get rid of eye bags but Koreans can make it look cute! Well, almost. While eye bags make you look tired, aegyo sal can make you look quite vibrant and healthy! A bulge of fat under your eyes can make you look youthful and have friendlier eyes.

6. Jamsu - Skin Diving

Probably one of the more radical trends I could have possibly heard of is Jamsu. People are literally dunking (or diving) their full faces of makeup into bowls of water. Can we say ice-bucket challenge upgrade? The benefits? After applying a crazy amount of baby powder over your concealer, dunk your head in the cold water for 30 seconds and it will be perfectly set! Who wants to do it first?

7. Hairline Pencils

This might be more of a life-saving product for men, but women lose hair too! This handy, dandy pen is equipped with a special gel that will mask any receding hairlines we just want no one to see. It is also water proof and sweat proof! Keep your head in the game, yo!
