G-Dragon is praised for his continuous patriotic expression.

March 1 is Korea's Independence Movement Day that commemorates the nation's fight for independence and resistance to Japanese occupation.

Every year, many stars share posts on SNS in commemoration of the meaningful day and among them is the Big Bang leader. G-Dragon is known for showing patriotism on and off stage. Each year he commemorated the holiday by posting the Korean flag and other related posts. This year was no exception as he shared a post in commemoration.

G-Dragon's patriotic move is especially gaining more praise due to the fact that he's a world star with an immense amount of Japanese fans. While Koreans praise his actions, some Japanese fans have negatively reacted to his posts- telling him to delete the photos and even claiming they're going to turn their backs.

However, the criticism each year has not stopped G-Dragon from showing his love for the nation.

Netizens applauded his bold actions and commented, "He always posts on SNS. His heart is so beautiful", "Of course, G-Dragon. He's so cool", "Do you know how much followers G-Dragon has on Instagram? He needs to be complimented", "Japanese fans are ridiculous. He's a Korean singer so he just uploaded his nation's flag. Why are they criticizing and telling him to delete it? But G-Dragon ignores them all and always uploads it hahaha."
