BBGIRLS member Minyoung has spoken up about rumors of discord following Yujeong’s departure from the group.
On June 16, a video titled “BB GIRLS Discord? Responding to Yujeong’s Departure and 3-Member Reformation Rumors” was uploaded to the YouTube channel One Mic. In the video, Minyoung appeared as a guest and candidly discussed various topics.

BB GIRLS is a rebranded version of Brave Girls, which relaunched under a new agency in 2023. Since then, Yujeong left the group last year, and the group has been promoting as a trio.
Addressing the rumors of discord with Yujeong, Minyoung explained, “When the three of us (excluding Yujeong) traveled to Bohol, it was around the time she had decided to leave. Some people misunderstood the situation when they saw just the three of us on that trip. Internally, we had somewhat sorted things out, but we couldn't publicly speak on it at the time.”
She continued, “I had been planning that trip for a month, but Yujeong left the group in the meantime, so only the three of us could go.”
Minyoung admitted she felt hurt by Yujeong’s departure, “It was sudden when she told us she wanted to leave. I said, ‘Why? There’s no issue between us,’ but after spending ten years together, it’s natural we each had our own thoughts. We decided to respect her decision and support her.”
Minyoung also addressed rumors that she was leaving the entertainment industry to open a café, “Even at the time, I clarified that I had no intention of quitting music to live only as a café owner.”
She added, “To open a café, I had to get certified, study, and take practical courses to earn my barista license. I ran the café for about a year starting in March last year, but honestly, there was barely any profit. Running a business is extremely difficult. I truly want to applaud all small business owners. With wages and operating costs, it’s really tough—especially given the economic climate.”
Wrapping up, Minyoung said, “Rather than chasing big ambitions as BBGIRLS, we feel we’re a group that was given a second chance by the public. That’s why we want to live up to those expectations. No matter the challenges, we want to continue as a long-lasting group.”
