BLACKPINK member and singer Rosé has set a new K-pop record by remaining on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart for 34 consecutive weeks with her collaboration track “Apt.” featuring pop star Bruno Mars.
According to Billboard’s latest chart update released on June 17 (local time), Rosé’s “Apt.” held steady at No. 24 on the Hot 100, marking its 34th consecutive week on the chart.
This achievement breaks the previous record of 33 consecutive weeks set by BTS’s Jimin with “Who,” the title track from his second solo album MUSE.
With this, Rosé now holds the record for the longest-charting song by a K-pop artist on the Billboard Hot 100.
“Apt.” was pre-released in October of last year ahead of Rosé’s first full-length solo album rosie. Since its release, the song has maintained steady popularity, debuting on the Hot 100 and remaining on the chart for over eight months. The track has also set records for the longest-charting and highest-ranking Hot 100 song by a female K-pop soloist.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is gearing up for its first full-group activities since members began pursuing individual careers. The group is scheduled to embark on a large-scale world tour in July, performing 31 shows across 16 cities.
A new single is also expected to be released, adding to fans’ excitement.
