Elon Musk shares video of G-Dragon in a cybertruck “The king of K-pop rides Tesla’s cybertruck”

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has captured global attention once again by retweeting a video of K-pop icon G-Dragon riding a Tesla Cybertruck wrapped with his signature PEACEMINUSONE logo.
On X (formerly Twitter),Musk shared a post from Teslaconomics that included the video and the caption: "Just watch what happens when the king of K-pop, G-Dragon, shows up in a Cybertruck in Korea."
The scene unfolded at the Grand Hyatt Seoul in Yongsan, where G-Dragon made a grand entrance in the custom Cybertruck for the launch of the third edition of his PEACEMINUSONE Premium Highball. During the event, he also announced a donation of 880 million KRW (approximately $635,000) to the Just Peace Foundation, where he serves as honorary chairman. The amount symbolized the number 8, a reference to infinity.
This is not the first time G-Dragon has made headlines with the Cybertruck. In November of last year, he drew public attention by arriving at Incheon International Airport in the same futuristic vehicle.
Although Musk did not include any personal comment with the retweet, the post quickly went viral and surpassed one million views in a matter of hours.
Adding to the excitement, Maye Musk, mother of Elon Musk and a well-known fashion model and author, also retweeted a related post from TCMesla on June 13. The post stated, "G-Dragon, the King of K-Pop, arrived at the Grand Hyatt Seoul in a newly designed 'war vehicle' aka Tesla Cybertruck to attend today’s ‘PEACEMINUSONE Premium Highball Launch Party – THE SIGNAL’ event."
Maye Musk has long held a career in modeling, having won beauty contests in her youth. She has also gained worldwide recognition as the mother of Elon Musk, who is currently ranked as the world’s richest person by Forbes.
It is considered rare for both Elon and Maye Musk to simultaneously highlight the same celebrity, especially using the title "King of K-pop." The gesture has sparked speculation about Tesla's growing cultural interest in South Korea and the potential influence of K-pop on global branding.
As G-Dragon continues to blend music, fashion, and philanthropy, and Tesla taps into cultural crossovers, fans and industry watchers alike are now wondering if a future collaboration between the global tech icon and the K-pop legend might be on the way.
