Actor Park Jung Min's independent publishing company Muze has voiced concerns about prank calls disrupting their business operations following Park's recent appearance on the popular tvN variety show 'You Quiz on the Block.'

On June 16, Muze issued a statement via its official social media account, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of attention received after the show aired and the release of its latest publication, 'First Summer, Wanju.'

“We sincerely thank everyone for their interest following the broadcast and the launch of First Summer, Wanju,” the company wrote. However, the post also revealed an unexpected downside. Since the episode aired, they have been receiving an overwhelming number of prank and unrelated calls to the landline number printed on the back of their book. This has made it difficult for them to carry out their work.

Muze, which is run by just two staff members, Park Jung Min and one co-director, is currently preparing for upcoming book fairs and managing publishing operations, often working overtime and on weekends. Due to the ongoing disturbance, Muze announced that it would temporarily suspend its landline service.

“We apologize for the inconvenience,” the statement continued. “To better manage inquiries, we have created a new email account. We will review all messages carefully and do our best to respond, even if it takes some time.”

The company also addressed fans’ gestures of support. They said they appreciate the kind thought behind the gifts being sent but that simply purchasing their books is the greatest show of support.

Finally, Muze clarified that there are no hiring plans at the moment, noting that several resumes have been submitted following the show. “We are grateful, but we must politely decline. For now, the two of us will do our best to grow Muze into a more mature and inspiring company,” the post concluded. “Thank you for your support, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.”

Park Jung Min founded Muze in 2020 as a one-person publishing house. He continues to run it alongside one colleague.
